范迪安，男，汉族，1955年9月生于福建，1973年参加工作，1979年4月加入中国共产党，中央美术学院中国美术史专业硕士研究生毕业，文学硕士。现任中央美术学院院长，教授，博士生导师，中国美术家协会主席，中国文艺评论家协会副主席，教育部艺术教育委员会副主任，中央文史研究馆馆员，北京美术家协会主席，全国政协委员。2018年12月23日中国美术家协会第九届理事会第一次会议，当选中国美术家协会主席。2020年8月18日，被聘请为中国文艺评论家协会顾问。

Fan Dean, male, Han nationality, was born in Fujian in September 1955. He began to work in 1973. He joined the Communist Party of China in April 1979. He graduated from the Central Academy of fine arts with a master's degree in Chinese art history and a master of Arts. Currently, he is the president, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Central Academy of fine arts, chairman of China Artists Association, vice chairman of China Literary Critics Association, deputy director of the Art Education Committee of the Ministry of education, librarian of the Central Museum of literature and history, chairman of Beijing Artists Association and member of the CPPCC National Committee. At the first meeting of the ninth Council of China Artists Association on December 23, 2018, he was elected president of China Artists Association. On August 18, 2020, he was hired as a consultant of China Literary Critics Association.

长期从事20世纪中国美术研究、当代艺术评论与展览策划、艺术博物馆学研究。曾发表美术研究与评论上百万字，策划百余项反映时代主题和中国美术发展成果的学术展览，组织多种学术研讨会和大量国际艺术交流活动，与国际著名艺术博物馆和美术院校建立合作关系，促进各国优秀艺术成果交流，提升中国美术的国际影响力。油画作品参加多种学术展览。主编出版《20世纪中国美术文艺志·美术卷》、《当代艺术情境中的水墨本色》、《世界美术教育丛书》、《中国当代美术：1979—1999》、《世界艺术史》、《近现代中国画》、《中央美术学院美术馆馆藏精品大系》等。
