京哈高速公路扩建工程关键路段路面工程顺利完工

(Reporter: Wang Xuezhu) On June 22, the pavement works for Section II of the Suipan segment of the Beijing-Harbin Expressway expansion project, contracted by China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Co. Ltd have been successfully completed, laying a solid foundation for the expressway’s early opening in September.

The project covers 25.7 kilometers of pavement construction, including 2,624,392 square meters of asphalt concrete pavement and 278,322 square meters of temporary asphalt surface for traffic persion. To ensure construction efficiency and quality, the project team adopted a range of advanced technologies and equipment,including digital pavement information systems, cement-stabilized crushed stone vibration mixing, and 3D automated paving control systems. These innovations significantly enhanced both construction precision and operational efficiency. The project team also implemented a well-structured construction schedule, deploying two 5,000-type asphalt mixing plants, four imported pavers, and thirteen rollers, while proactively stockpiling critical materials such as basalt and manufactured sand to ensure comprehensive resource support throughout the project. During peak construction periods, the project team accelerated progress through a scientific management system and highly efficient construction organization, providing strong assurance for the project's high-quality and efficient execution.

As part of China’s “Five Vertical and Seven Horizontal” national trunk highways, the Beijing-Harbin Expressway serves as a vital transportation artery linking the three provinces in Northeast China, eastern Inner Mongolia and North China. Once completed, the project will greatly improve regional transportation, boost highway capacity and service efficiency, and become the longest 10-lane expressway in China. It is expected to play a key role in advancing the development of the Shenyang metropolitan area, contributing to the construction of the Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt, and accelerating the integration of western Liaoning into the pilot zone for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, which injects strong momentum for the full revitalization of Liaoning Province.
